As we keep accelerating and introducing new features to improve our products, we are also updating our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy by 1st of April, 2022. Here’s a summary of these updates:
Privacy Policy:
- Creating an Account / Signing Up. To add an extra security measure to the account creation process, we are introducing phone number verification. This is an essential step in creating a new Genesis Cloud account and therefore, this paragraph explains how the phone numbers are used and stored within Genesis Cloud and by our verification partner Twilio Verify. Your data will not be sold to any third party. This does not affect existing users of Genesis Cloud.
Terms of Service:
- Credit Card Authorization. With this section we clarify how we authorize credit cards through our payment partner Stripe. In order to provide the best possible service, we seek to exclude fraudulent and/or malicious users from our platform by performing a temporary hold of a small sum on the provided credit card(s). We clarify in this section also, that this card authorization is not a regular payment and will always be released to the provided credit card after seven banking days.
- Payment for Service Usage. We have added this section to increase transparency on how Genesis Cloud initiates a payment or a series of payments on customers’ behalf, how the frequency of payments (e.g. one-time or recurring) is defined and how the payment amount is determined. This doesn’t change any of our pricing or payment procedures, just adds more clarification on the matter.
- Modifications to Terms of Services or Privacy Policy. Adding more details to this section, we want to make clear that Genesis Cloud reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove any portion of these Terms and Conditions, including the Privacy Policy, in whole or in parts, at any time. After being informed about modifications, you agree to the modifications by continuing to use our services.
We hope that you find value in our updates and strongly encourage you to read through our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By clicking “Accept” on the appearing notification when you sign in to your Genesis Cloud account after April 1st 2022, you agree to these updated terms. If for any reasons you don’t agree with our new terms, click “Reject” (also on the second screen that follows) and your account will be permanently deleted in 14 days after rejection.
